ALIENS

SEASON ONE

The Moss

I eldstriden dog Cpl.

First Contact

Free Men

Lost In Time
After one and a half weeks of travelling they caught sigth of a western style tree fortress. From it could be heard voices that were unrecognizable.
After having observed the people in the fortress it was decided that they should continue towards a lake two days distant were food, which was running dangerously low would be more readily available.
After two failed attempts at stealing some fishing gear the team managed to steal fruit and vegetables from a garden. The sustenance was welcome and after having lost one of their phase pistols to a stage magician they travelled to the biggest city in the region. Except for the obvious prescence of fantasy style elves and dwarves the planet and it's civilisation was remarkably close to late 1800's earth. It was soon discovered that the whole mission was a test carried out with sophisticated holographic projectors. They were dismissed from service on several counts.

To Boldly go

Since their actions in the test did not suit the Temporal Law they were instead offered 20 year contracts aboard an exploration vessel. As parts of the second command group their skills and actions would be perfect. They all agreed and a month later set sail for the furthest unexplored regions outside the Empire.

Within the first year two landings were made on organically active planets. Both proved uninteresting according to the first mate.

After about three months Fairchild and Maxwell and 14 others was put off duty since a new course has been laid and all things pointed to them. The new course also disabled the warp core engine. After a week on the new course they got their assignments back and were on active duty when the ship was attacked by unknown forces. Just before the attack the nav computer exploded and took the central computer core and database with it. During the attack the artifial gravity was disrupted and 49 crewmen died when the ship suddenly stopped.
The attack ended and the three weeks of repair went without further attacks. The course was set back to where the course had first been altered and there the ship stayed for three months while repairing the warp engine.

After repairs it took 18 days until a Sl'ee temporal station was discovered. The second command crew was sent as a boarding party together with both S'lee. The away team split up to cover the grounds quicker. A strange spiderweb like substance covered the walls and door of the station and a biological sample was collected. The two S'lee dissappeared and left the humans paralyzed though Faircild, Maxwell and Browns team broke free. The S'lee station was, it was soon discovered, a temporal station and in it's center one of the temporal pods had crashed and a humanoid of unknown origin was found lying outside. It was later taken aboard the Goron for study.

The science teams report on the entity (4041-2) showed that it had be tampered with genetically and that the white strands were a result of this. The material of the strand merges with the material it came in contact with to create a hybrid material. The creature was kept alive but sedated for further observation.

Later that same day the second away team were sent down to a S'lee planet void of any larger lifeforms to scout and gather information for later landings. The away team set down in the middle of the largest settlement and looked around at the strange ground that was covered with grey pipes going from north to south and east to west, some going in through doorways in some buildings. The air was thick with dust and ashes which reduced visiblity to 100 meters. The only building larger than the others was a plain grey five story tower and it was decided that it should be looked at first. Inside stood 20 S'lee style holo podiums, one of which was white. While Brown and Maxwell started working on the podiums to see if they could start them up Fairchild and the others walked up to the top floor.

Maxwell managed to start four of the podiums which began to project movies portraying the evolution of S'lee, starships, mankind and general plantlife. Maxwell recorded these with his pad. Later while Fairchild and the others scouted other buildings Maxwell started the panorama view projectors on the top floor and the Away team witnessed how the area looked when it was inhabited by S'lee. The area was lush and no pipes was seen anywhere. After a while the recording showed the S'lee fleeing and a huge shadow engulfíng the area. Then the recording stopped.

Fairchild and the others found all buildings void of any personal items other than some furniture. Some buildings housed strange black speheroids that connected to the pipes. Maxwell and Brown later cut away the outer layer to be able to see the internal workings of one of these and samples were gathered for the science teams from various areas. The Goron reported some seismic movement some 7 miles away and when investigated it seemed like the pipes had begun to rise from the ground in a spiralling way creating a peak that had grown to about ten meters height when the away team reached it.

During the following two days it continued to grow and three new spires, or rather tentacles, started to form and slowly crawl inwards towards where a huge hill was forming. The science team went down to investigate and during sample acquisition the surface burst and severely injured one of the accompanying security guards. DNA testing of the samples showed a great similarity with species 4041-2. The black sphereoids were revealed to be genetically rearranged S'lee.

Maxwell and Faircild were reassigned to work in a special undercover operation because of murdered crewmen. The murderers were thought to be of an ancient psionic order that once were part of the Imperial military. The order was also believed to be behind the changing course earlier. Maxwell and Fairchild were to assemble a team of four to investigate and put an end to the orders prescence aboard the Goron. Brown and sensor analyst Ekud were brought aboard the team and a relay pulse transmitter were placed to penetrate the sensorshielded security area.

68 days later. Everyone was back to their normal positions again and it was time to make planetfall on a new planet. Strange rock pillars stretched from the planet surface up above the clothes and to the outer atmosphere. The shuttle with the away team set down for reconnoisance in a sandstone canyon. When Faircild took a swim in a small lake the hovercraft she had been using was stolen by a human which was neutralized after a short firefight. He was taken aboard the Goron for study.
Two days later at a briefing information about the society was provided for the away team. The planet was divided into two factions. One for the imminent return of the gods, and one against it. The man they had captured was of the anti gods faction and that faction made constant raids to halt the preparations. The man had a crossbow shaped weapon that had technology that worked on a molecular or lower level and according to him the other faction had even more advanced technology.
After a brief discussion it was decided that two away teams would make contact with each faction to see if there was a possibility to clear things up and arrange some kind of peace deal. Fairchild, Brown and Maxwell was in the away team that was to investigate the anti gods faction and set down again.
They were taken to an underground room via the sewersystem of the city above. The leader gave them an ultimatum to prove their loyalties. Bring before him a person from the other faction, dead or alive. Two from the away team would serve as hostages in the mean time. It was agreed and they were set down in a forest near another city. With the help of phasers seven people were captured and as alarms started to go off the group ran into the woods. Two ships followed them but when Fairchild shot down one ship the other ceased pursuit.
Returning back to the drop off point they phased away three additional ships and twenty more men. Returning to the Goron in the shuttle they left them weapons and one man. Then going down to the anti gods faction again they provided the first seven captives. The leader seemed satisfied and Fairchild also asked if the leader would be interested in half a ship. (The result of phasing the pursuing ship in two.) He was and they made way to a huge undergroud cave with huge pipes hanging from the ceiling. As Fairchild produced the half of the ship it exploded, setting the leader, Maxwell and the first encountered anti gods person on fire. Cold water from fire prevention systems soon doused the fires. The leader still had some doubts but he would allow them to come on a mission against the pro gods faction.

Season Finale: Temple of the Stars
Once on the mission they went to the temple and apparently they were going to kill the leaders. As some sort of ritual started. Bright lights flooded the grounds and missiles and lasers soon made the area unsure. The temple was, it turned out, some kind of ship, shaped like the Goron and the Goron itself was there. The two ships fired at each others and the away team got away from there in a scoutship. When freeing the two that were left behind they were captured and sedated. When they woke up they were given an ultimatum. Get back the temple ship or die. The choice was clear.
