WORLD HISTORY This is a timeline of the important events in the Golden Gang story. This expands upon the events of the comicbook itself. Links with a (w) after them is a link to the wikipedia entry for that subject. Other links go to the other pages on this site. This section contains spoilers and it's suggested you read it after you've read the first volume of Golden Gang. The big spoilers are kept off this page however. BEFORE RECORDED TIME The Eternal Night is imprisoned in a two-dimensional plane by unknown beings. 10000 YEARS AGO The Eternal Night's servants on Earth starts to work to close down the source of the magic that imprisons their master. 1290 BEFORE YEAR 0 A pre-Chavin shaman is visited by a visitor from the future that hands over a crystal ball that shows the events that lead up to the end of the world. The events are transcribed to a large stone tablet that becomes known as the Chavin Seers' tablet. The crystal ball itself is lost sometime later. LATE FIRST MILLENNIUM Atlantis disappears for unknown reasons. This is the one event that is described as the beginning of the end of the world on the crystal ball mentioned in the previos section. The inca high priest knows this and reads the Chavin Seers' tablet to know what to do. The preparations take 20 years. The amount of magic energy in the world slowly decreases partly because of Atlantis fall but also because The Eternal Night's servants who seal off the remaining sources of the energy on Earth. 20 YEARS AFTER THE PREVIOUS EVENT A magic ritual gives life to Silverarrow and Golden Guardian and power to the suit that will be worn by Captain Sun. A message for Captain Sun is also sent forward in time to tell him what he neeeds to do to stop the end of the world. A FEW CENTURIES AFTER THE PREVIOUS EVENT Silverarrow and Golden Guardian ceases to function when magic in the world reaches an level of magic that's too low to sustain them. 1497 Spanish invaders takes Golden Guardian and tries to take it back to Spain. The ship that's transporting it, the Santa Elena (Saint Helen), sinks in a storm halfway across the Atlantic. 1577 German noblewoman Rowena, recently bitten by a werewolf, climbs aboard Blackflash's time machine and is transported to 2007. 1720 The citizens of the planet Daol discovered that the planet was tearing itself apart and created 3 huge multigenerational sub-lightspeed starships, each sent to a different habitable planet. 1753 One of the three Daolian starships is attacked by unknown vessels and they are forced to evacuate. 1821 As elves are forced to leave the Earth due to the ever decreasing levels of magic one pair decides to leave their child with human parents. 1945 Nazi Germany's occult divsion flees Germany with many occult artifacts and stolen gold. It changes it's name to Chain. 1956 Captain Sun finds the magical suit and becomes known the world over as the first superhero. 1974 Heroes Union is the first superhero group to be founded and consists of Captain Sun, Blackflash, Grasshopper, Spider and Minimal. 1980 Villains Mr Magic and Dr Chromosome are taken prisoner after having held captive two american army units and experimented on them. One of those units, a special ops force becomes the 30 Specials, the US first unit of more than human soldiers. 1982 The 30 specials defect, and a reserve team from their previous unit, designated the 20 Specials are assigned to hunt them down. The 20 specials become known publicly and are treated as the US first government controlled superteam. 1990 Heroes Union discoveres a temple dedicated to the Eternal Night and destroys the magic seal it contains. The Eternal Night sends a scout to find out how they were discovered, and that scout will appear on Earth in 2004. The destroyed magic seal is enough to enable Silverarrow and Golden Guardian to move again. 1995 Strikers, the second independent superteam is founded by Spike, Muscles and Wolfwoman. Chain makes it's first big public debut and blows up the San Diego Conference Centre with no apparent motive. 1998 Trolls invade New York and Heroes Union, Strikers and 20 Specials are on scene, fighting to contain them when a superteam calling themselves Golden Gang shows up to help. As soon as the threat is contained they disappear, causing speculation into the modern day. 2003 The group that would one day become the Golden Gang makes it'd debut, fighting a scout from the Eternal Night. They recruit debuting superhero Lady Luck and Golden Guardian reaches them, having walked along the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean for 13 years. 2012 Golden Gang are defeated by the Eternal Night, and set a backup plan in motion.
