SPIDER Real name: Original name unknown, took the name Martin Chuck Group affiliation: Heroes Union, Dreambusters Powers, abilities and weaknesses: Spider was probably originally an ordinary human. He was transformed into a humanoid spider and in that form was stronger, faster, more agile and more alert than a human. His hearing and sense of touch was lower than human. Spider was later transformed into human form and has remained in that form since. Spider is athletic and a trained martial artist. Equipment: In human form Spider wore a costume that acted as protection and as a base of various attachments. Most attachments were additional protection, but he also had lights designed to confuse enemies, light enhancing filters in the helmet and a backpack that had six winged robotic limbs that enabled him to do some extraordinary maneuvers, and glide through the air. As a Dreambuster he used parts of his most recent spider costume and also had a t-shirt that could project a portal that opened up into the Land of Dreams. History: Spider was kidnapped and transformed into a humanoid spider by the villain Dr Chromosome and later saved by US Marines when they assaulted Dr Chromosome's base alongside the 30 specials and Captain Sun. He was a part of the founding of Heroes Union in 1974 and during that time was transformed to human form. In the early 1990's the group wasn't working together and Spider and Grasshopper encountered an entity known as the Dream Queen. She told them that nightmares had started to jump out of peoples dream into the real world and asked them if they could help fight the nightmares. They agreed and became Dreambusters, hunting nightmare creatures, and putting an end to the threat by defeating the source of the attacks, an intelligent force known as the Black. Spider semi-retired afterwards, opening a bar in Gothenburg, Sweden. On a few occasions such as the recent troll invasion, he has returned to active duty.
