GRASSHOPPER Real name: Rogers, firt name unrevealed Group affiliation: Heroes Union, Dreambusters Powers, abilities and weaknesses: Grasshopper is an ordinary human. For a few years of his life he was transformed into a real, but human-sized grasshopper and during that time he had the abilities of the animal. The only difference was his human intelligence and the ability to speak. Grasshopper was a highly trained athlete and martial art specialist. Equipment: As Grasshopper he has used several different costumes with a grasshopper motif up until he and Spider started Dreambusters. The costumes had some protection, and had a special retractable saw-toothed blade which was used as a tool, for intimidation, and on rare occasion in combat. As a Dreambuster he used parts of his most recent grasshopper costume and also had a t-shirt that could project a portal that opened up into the Land of Dreams. History: Grasshopper was inspired to become a vigilante by Captain Sun. He worked throughout mainland Europe and in the middle east. He met Captain Sun in 1964 when they both helped keep the peace at the meeting of the pope and the patriarch. They interrupted a kidnapping plot by Ghost and decided to work together. In 1969 they fought Mister Magic who turned Grasshopper into a real human-sized grasshopper. In the beginning Grasshopper lacked human intelligence and Captain Sun arranged for his care at Skansen zoo in Sweden's capital of Stockholm. When he finally regained his intelligence he was a part of the founding of Heroes Union in 1974. Two years later he was restored to his original form. In the early 1990's the group wasn't working together and Grasshopper and Spider encountered an entity known as the Dream Queen. She told them that nightmares had started to jump out of peoples dream into the real world and asked them if they could help fight the nightmares. They agreed and became Dreambusters, hunting nightmare creatures, and putting an end to the threat by defeating the source of the attacks, an intelligent force known as the Black. Grasshopper went into semi-retirement afterwards, opening a motorcycle repair shop in London, England. On a few occasions such as the recent troll invasion, he has donned his costume and returned to fight crime and other dangers.
